I went to this restaurant for take out. I found the food to be the absolute worst soul food I'd ever eaten, anywhere! I've lived in the south, the deep south, west and east and the food was completely inedible. The corn bread was laden with grease and had no flavor so we threw it away; the flour in the gravy was not cooked so it was pasty and tasted like, well, flour; the fried chicken I believe was frozen chicken from a t.v. dinner and was re-fried; it was expensive; and, the person who helped me was rude.

To this day I cannot figure out how they stay in business. I'm sorry but it is the truth!

However, to be fair, the building is old but it was very clean inside and out which was very nice to see.

We had fried catfish, sweet potatoes and greens. I took home the banana pudding. large portions! Great food!

(fish is fried in cornmeal) just like my Moma did.
