I love this place. My 5th time going there was just more mind blowing. Every thing and every one is so amazing. Couldn't ask for better

We had no idea what this restaurant was when we bought our Groupon. We got there and were greeted by a very friendly staff and a fun ambiance. Al, the maître de, was the entertainment and gracious host, serving samples of their best. The food was fabulous but not to be upstaged by the can-no-li, short for Irish cannoli. Fun and yummy! We will definitely be back. :-)

Stopped in with another couple and we had a great time. The service was excellent, gave many samples of their food. The food we ordered was cooked to perfection with wonderful flavor. We plan on going back to get the whole belly clams. It was off season and they didn't have any, but that happens to all the restaurants in Florida in the Summer.

We found this place by using a Groupon & boy, are we glad we did. The food is very good, especially the Viadalia or Mango Salsa scrod!!! They give you a tray with samples of some of their food & the breadsticks are yummy & unique. The service is excellent. The only negative thing I have to say is on Sundays they turn off the air conditioning & just have fans blowing so if you like a cool environment while you are eating, avoid it on Sundays. They have an outside eating area as well. They also take care of the locals with a specially priced menu. We are glad we found this little gem.

I am a recent transplant to Florida and the hardest hit are my dogs, who don't get to drive around with me as much as they used to. The restaurant is a little hidden, and if you use GPS to find it you may find yourself at Anthony's on the Boulevard on the corner since it is kind of behind it. Although Anthony's is good, this restaurant is even better so what you need to do is turn onto the street by Anthony's, then turn on the street behind it and go about two doors down. We asked about this and were told that when the restaurant was first established 26 years ago it was on the main street, unfortunately they later build some businesses in front of it. Apparently during the winter months it's always busy, but during the off season it's very quiet. We were on the way to pick up the babies from the groomers when we saw a guy with a sign and asked if they were puppy friendly - luckily for us they are.
Out of all the dog friendly restaurants I've tried, this definitely had the nicest outdoor area. We ate early so we were the only people outside, but it was nice and cool. There is a bar that is probably used during private parties and during the snowbird season, there are games to play, a TV playing concert DVDs and plants.
The servers were very personable and made us feel very welcome. We were greeted by a young man who took our drink orders, then our server brought us samples from the menu (shrimp and alligator), which were excellent. Our meals included the salad buffet, which was small but tasty. Our entrees (Shrimp Scampi, Grilled Shrimp, Mussels in wine for the humans, grilled chicken breast for the babies) were all well prepared, the Irish Connoli for dessert was so good I almost licked the bowl.
While I am working my way through the dog friendly restaurants in the area, I think this is the one I will return to the most.

I had a party here a few nights ago and it was amazing. The waitress was very friendly and helped to entertain the rowdy children. She brought them paper to color and led them to the basketball hoop outside. The food was excellent, but the Irish con-o-ly was even better! Don't pass the moorings up!

First introduced to this place 2002 when buying a home in Cape Coral. Have been going there since that time several times a year. Yesterday our dinner of Key West Seafood Chowder, broiled scrod, shrimp. scallops, and crab cakes were excellent and fairly priced.
Awesome place! Great food and prices! Don't miss this one. It's one block behind Del Prado! I will be back for sure!

Great Florida atmosphere, great food and fantastic staff. Owner is not shy about mixing with the customers and working in the kitchen. Food is prepared to order and is fresh and light.

I live in the Orlando area, but every time I'm in Cape Coral I eat at New England Moorings. It's a little hard to find the first time, in that it's a block off Del Prado behind Anthony's, but it's worth a little effort to get there.
The food is excellent every single time. And the owner, Al, always finds time to sit and chat a few minutes with his customers.
In addition to traditional fare, Al and his chefs prepare amazingly innovative dishes that are a taste treat. I recommend the New England Moorings Inc (known locally as "The Moorings") without reservation!
