The Oakwood Club has been around forever. I lived in the Centerville area and my parents just always loved this establishment. I moved away to the Bellefontaine area and during the time of my birthday I am always wanting a good steak, what always comes to mind is "The Oakwood Club". The bar is a very relaxing area and the staff could not be more friendly. The food is always top notch and the cost is worth it..March 14th 2009 was the last time I visited, the same on another posters post and the establishment was very very busy, sorry that your expectations were not met. The Oakwood Club is 1 of the best "ole" atmospheres of feeling "tucked in a corner romantic feel, with a glass of wine and food that is mouth watering."

If possible I wouldn't give the Oakwood Club any stars. Our experience there was the second worst experience I have ever had at a restuarant. We made reservations for March 14, 2009 for a party of six. The reservations were made more than 4 days in advance. When we arrived at the restaurant we were told that they didn't have our reservation. We showed the hostess our cell phone where we had called in our reservation. She said she was sorry there was nothing they could do about it. Essentially she kicked us out of the restaurant. She admitted it was their mistake but offered no explanaion and did nothing, I want to emphasize nothing, to try and accomodate us. We were shown the door. The Oakwood Club boosts it has "...one goal - to provide the finest quality service and food to our customers...". I can only say it falls far short of its mark.
Old Hickory Bar-b-que on No. Main St. in Dayton is the best! You always get great value for your money. The portions are very good and the service is great! The steaks and ribs are a great buy compared to what you get at more expensive reaturants

Absolutely the Best restaurant in Dayton. The staff is fantastic and the owners are always available to diners new and old. I love the shrimp coctails and Faye at the bar is the best of the best.

THIS IS ONE OF OUR FAVORITES. YOU CAN ACTUALLY GO LATE ON A WEEK NIGHT AND YOU DON'T FEEL YOU'RE INTRUDING! THE FOOD IS EXCELLENT AND THE SERVICE IS TOO! ESPECIALLY GOOD IS THE POTATOE CRUSTED SEA BASS AND THE HOUSE SALAD.
