My daughter and I came in from San Diego to visit her Father's side of the family this time around. On our last night here, all my daughter had said was that she wanted a quesadilla, and I wanted it to be downtown, and so I picked Oba. Talk about a nice surprise! The swordfish was astoundingly delicious, The only reasons I rate the food as being a 4 is because the children's quesadilla had a different taste than she wanted and the children's caesar salad was a bit spicy. The service was pretty good, being that my voice is somewhat gone the waiter had a hard time understanding me and seemed a bit offbeat in the sense that maybe he had too many tables. (I attribute the loss of my voice to the smoking in restaurants that's aloud here--even California got rid of that! That also affects the palate most definitely.) On the note of it all, this is an amazing restaurant! The fusion of the environment is as tantalizing as the food---from the potato pancakes to the warm decor --AND even the accented tile in the bathroom--you can tell the attention to detail was definitely not short sighted.
