This was our first visit to Peppers. We arrived at 4:30 to an almost empty restaurant. My husband and I both had salad, rib eyes, and stuffed baked potatoes. They were delicious and cooked to perfection. We both like good service, but we felt so rushed and over attended to during our meal. We hadn't even finished our salad when our meal came. My husband finished his before mine, and the waiter reached all around me to clear my salad plate then all my husbands salad and dinner plate. While I was still trying to eat, he brought the desert tray around. We went ahead and ordered desert even though I was still eating my meal. In another couple of minutes, he brought the desert while I was still trying to eat! We felt so rushed, it was hard to enjoy our meal. We will go again because our meal was good, but someone needs to tell the waiter how to appropriately serve. You shouldn't be rushed out of a restaurant during an evening meal in 45 minutes!

a diner from Houston, TX (10 min. away)
I've been eating regularly at Pepper's on Fairmont Parkway in Pasadena for almost 10 years now, since moving in the area. I normally order take out, but dine in on occasion. Even if it's not on the menu and it's a reasonable request, they will gladly accommodate. My food is always good, their salads are always fresh, and their homemade avocado ranch dressing is the best. I've eaten chicken, red meat and fish and enjoyed each. The service for take-out is always friendly -- unless my food is ready the second I walk in, somebody always attends to you promptly. Friday and Saturday nights are generally crowded, probably because it's a very folksy-family-neighborly kind of place. I've seen familiar faces there for many years. Peppers will always be a regular restaurant of choice as long as I'm living in the area.
