Great bar-b-que, hush puppies and staff..what else can a southern boy want? Well worth going out of your way.

Great vinegar based BBQ. Potato salad, green beans and all good sides. Nice little out of the way - very relaxed place to go eat. We always stop by when we are in Williamsburg. Nice friendly service always.

I love this place!!! Been stop'n here since the 70's with my parents on our annual family reunion road trips from Illinois to VA Beach & Nags Head NC. If you like smokey, slightly tangy, pulled pork BBQ then you'll love Pierces - It's more of a North-Meets-South BBQ! If vinegar style or even KC style BBQ is what your use to you might wanna choose something else off the menu :) Also, the tradition of ordering a Pierces w/the slaw on the sandwich has been attributed to truck drivers on the go (who not only find it tasty) but also find this method easier and safer than eating the slaw on the side! If you find yourself just west of Williamsburg, VA Pierces is truly good eats! PS - Don't forget to order your Pierces with a side of sweet potato stix!

I lived in Williamsburg for many years and ate at Pierces a few times. It's nothing special. I couldn't understand why people from out of town go crazy over this place.

Pierces is by far the best bbq around. We live in southern Maryland, and we always make a pit stop there when we're in the area.

Great BBQ and I'm from Alabama the home of Dreamland BBQ. The BBQ is great, but don't waste your money on anything else. Just order the JC Speical if you love pulled pork sandwiches. It comes with fries, drink and a cookie. Don't get the slaw on the sandwich. A true southern BBQ place wouldn't put that on their BBQ. Also, try the sauce on the Fries.

I have to agree with the dinner from Raleigh. If you were here for anything other than BBQ, (like French Fries, hot dogs, etc) than you could find better elsewhere, but for BBQ, it would be hard to find BBQ that is better.

This is the best Barbeque I have ever eaten. We live in Virginia Beach and I always make Pierce's a stop when in Williamsburg. Great food well worth the visit. Would reccommend to anyone who would like a great meal.

I read the rave reviews about Pierce's on this site so I had to try this place during a visit last week. The barbecue was very good. The fries were right out of the cardboard box and tasted that way although they were cooked perfectly. The cole slaw was about as bad as I've ever had. It was pureed cabbage with little done to add any taste or texture. I've got to say the service was great and the place was clean as a pin.

The first time we ate at Pierce's was in 1988 while on a vacation. We managed to stop back a few times when in the area and now that we live in the Richmond area we ALWAYS go to Pierce's when in WBurg. Reminds us of a small seafood joint in Plymout, MA (Lobster Hut). Great food, good people, reasonable prices, quick. Love it.
Anyone living in the Tidewater area for very long is probably familiar with Pierce's BBQ in Williamsburg. As a kid growning up in Va. Beach, we would look forward to trips to the Pottery factory, just so we could stop at Pierce's for lunch. Twenty something years later... Pierce's has a fresh new look, and HUGE dining area! Still the same great service, value and WONDERFUL southern style BBQ sandwich (the real reason Tobasco and cole slaw were invented.) I no longer live in the area, but whenever we come home, we make a bee line for Pierce's. Keep making that great BBQ and let me know when you will begin delivering to Illiniois.
