I have been going to the Portuguese tavern and I dissagree with peoples reviews. I am yet only 12 years old but I do know what I'm saying. I have been around the whole building even In the kitchen with the former owner. now, the new owner fernando, is quite a guy .he provides everything to his job and customers. the food is unbelievable and the people are very nice. I'm proud to be Portuguese and have such nice people in my family. they can be a bit loud at times, but only at the right time. I enjoy going there every saturday and Sunday with my dad and will continue to.

This was simply the best Portuguese/Spanish cuisine that I have ever ate. The service was absoluetly great, and the the owner (Fernando) actually gave our entire table (over 15 people) a free bottle of wine and several free appetizers that he wanted us to try and was very engaging. I plan on returning frequenly for family gatherings and for a simple dinner with my family.

I DON'T KNOW WHO WROTE THAT STATEMENT ABOUT THE OWNER BEING ARROGANT AND HIS "BEHAVE" IS NOT PROFESSIONAL BUT HE IS THE NICEST GUY I HAVE EVER MET. I HAVE BEEN GOING TO THIS RESTAURANT FOR OVER 18 YEARS AND THE SERVICE, FOOD, AND PEOPLE ARE ANYTHING BUT RUDE/ARROGANT. IF THE OWNER WAS SO RUDE THEN THE RESTAURANT WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN AROUND FOR SO LONG AND BE AS SUCCESSFUL AS IT HAS BEEN FOR 20 YEARS. I HIGHLTY RECOMMEND THIS RESTAURANT FOR ANYONE WHO HAS AN APPETITE FOR GREAT FOOD.

Fernando, the owner was rude loud and embarasing. He refused to provide drinks when asked and made comments such as "what do you think this is a wedding" when requesting a spacific beverage. His tone of voice is not professional nor does he show and respect for paying customers. He was impateint and arrogant. Never have I expereienced this type of behave and humility in a public place by the owner of restaurant.
