Its’ turkey and bacon sizzled letting steam swirl out of the warm bread. The Red Wine Vinaigrette seasoned the sandwich with an exotic punch. The latest music plays in the background and the employees work diligently in the back. Though Quiznos appears vacant, occasionally people enter in and out of the doors looking for a bite to eat. Judging Quiznos by its’ service, atmosphere, price and taste of food, Quiznos is an exceptional restaurant to eat at.
Quiznos, has a welcoming atmosphere and great service. Though their parking could use more space for customers, inside the restaurant gives a perky aura. With walls painted bold colors of red, yellow, green and purple it has large lettering of their menu options. By so many colors on their walls, one can tell it is oriented for family dining. When I stepped into the restaurant, Quiznos workers greeted me with a good morning and a smile. I felt like a valued customer as the man patiently waited for my selection from the menu. Quiznos restaurant is nothing official though. They don’t pick a table and serve you there. Customers come to the counter and gazed at their large menu on their walls and decide what to order. Business didn’t look overwhelmingly busy but they definitely had a control on cleanliness. Not a speck of food from the previous customer was on the table.
They have over 30 different types of subs, from signature and classics to vegetarian and value subs. Quiznos value subs are the most appropriate to price; the cheapest being $2 to $3. The signature subs are mildly overpriced, reaching as high as $7 but they are over 12 inches long. Take that Subway! If meaty subs are not your forte though, they have veggie subs and flatbread sandwiches on the menu. Weight watchers can decide how many calories to have on their sandwich by choosing added seasoning and items like lettuce, ranch, bacon, cheddar and many more!
Then again, who isn’t watching their weight nowadays? The salads are up to good standards but the pricing at almost $6 is unreasonable. The lettuce is a perky green and healthy in color and taste. Also, having an option of adding chicken, bacon, hard-boiled eggs and an assortment of cheeses can add some backbone to the lettuce. Also on their menu are 3 different types of soups: Broccoli cheese, Chicken noodle, and Chili. Quiznos soups, though lacking in a wide variety, are warm and seasoned appropriately like their subs. Quiznos specialty are subs but their side dishes, like the soups and salads, can add more to a customers’ meal.
Quiznos has Pepsi supported soft drinks. But they also provide sweet/unsweetened tea and lemonade. Quiznos’ Raspberry Lemonade is cold, sweet and a little tangy. The flavor of this pink drink can last in your mouth for quite some time even after you’re done with your meal. Cup sizes are generous for just a dollar and fifty cents. Their kid’s meal also provides subs and flatbread sandwiches. Though Quiznos is famous for subs, they have an option of pizza for the little ones. This coupled with a soft drink and a cookie can give parents and ease by only paying $3.50.
Quiznos operates Mon.-Sat. from 10a.m.-9p.m., and on Sundays from 11a.m.-8p.m. Quiznos large subs can have so many different combinations of seasoning and added foods. And when toasted the subs can give a mouth-watering irresistible sensation. It’s no wonder why Quiznos slogan is “Mm, Mm Toasty!”
