None can compare. I have been going here for 20 years. This is by far my favorite place to eat Mexican food. The green salsa is wonderful. Love the Ceviche. The staff is great. Small quiet place. Never had a bad meal.

Ordered the "Cottorro's" and was disappointed in the food. While it was freshly made and hot, the flavor left much to be desired. Service was good and the place is clean. Felt out of place and couldn't wait to leave. Salsa is fresh but watered down. I can buy better chips at grocery stores than the ones served. Overall I won't be going back again. Seemed steep for what it was too.
i recently went to this place and was rudly asisted i do not recommend this place in any way. i did not get a reciepe with my money, waited and when i saw my food in the bag the waitress took her time to give me my food. she even assisted a person wh

Consistenly consistent. Decent place to get your TexMex "fix". Good chips/salsa. Food could be "re-vamped" or sauced up a little more, but overall, a decent place to eat some TexMex. Lunch-quality calibur rather than an "out-to-dinner" place.
Some of the best Mexican food in Garland. Order the TopShelf Guacamole. Two people I know who have never liked guacamole like the TopShelf Guacamole at El Chico.
Love this place. All homemade Mexican favorites and its delicious! Friendly, warm service. BYOB makes it even more affordable. This treasure is a must for Mexican food lovers!

I absolutely love this mexican restaurant. I have gone there as much as possible since I was 2 years old. My parents have always taken me and it is amazing. The green salsa is the best I have ever had, and I am a mexican food fanatic so trust me, it's good. The enchiladas are great, the gorditas are amazing, My dad likes the nachos. They also have some interesting out of the ordinary dishes which I have heard are also wonderful. I take all my friends to Rancho La Sandia. It is the best mexican food restaurant period.

My late husband introduced me to their gordita platters in 1992. I went back with a school friend after his death - same great food & service ten years later! Excellent homemade salsas that I crave! I'm a six hour drive away now.....

My wife and I try to eat here every Friday night. It is the best Mexican food for the price, anywhere around. They have the best guacamole and you get twice as much, for the same price, as any other restaurant we know of. We like the combination plate, but anything we have tried there has always been excellent. The service is super fast, too! The waitstaff is made up of Juan, and two waitresses (both named Carmen). They can take care of the entire restaurant, and we never have to wait more than 5 minutes to get our meal, after they take our order. Try it. You will like it!

I discovered this restaurant a couple of years ago and it quickly became my favorite. The food and service are excellent. The cost is definitely family friendly. I strongly recommend this experience and look forward to going back every time that I am in from Austin.

I've been eating here forever. Green salsa is to die for. Food is nicely spicy but not overly hot. Staff is courteous and attentive.

My co-workers and I eat there all the time for lunch. More tastier than most Mexican restaurants. Good value, very clean and well managed. Definately a notch above other Dallas Mexican or Tex-Mex restuarants. If this was located on Greenville avenue or in Allen, it would get mobbed.

A great neighborhood Tex-Mex restaurant. Food was served promptly, hot, and with a smile. Cheese and beef enchiladas were served with a slightly spicy ranchero sauce, and chicken enchiladas were served with a delicate sour cream sauce. Great guacamole and green chili sauce. Homemade pralines are a must! Very friendly and prompt service. Well known to the local workers, so you know it has to be good!

Food is generally good but not as consistent as I would like. Enchiladas were above average but tacos have been a little bland. More of a neighborhood Tex-Mex place - not the usual chain.
