Excellent food, lots of choices and everything is very tasty and prepared well and quickly. They have the absolute BEST SALSA in town. They give you three different kinds of Salsa and chips free when you dine in. Try the Giant Burrito! Great lunch specials, and they have beer too.

The food wasnt all that bad(or that good). What really suprised me was how my wife was treated when she asked if she could have her sandwich heated up just a little bit more. The sandwich was ice cold in the middle and the person that she asked snapped at her and rolled his eyes. Also, this person wa...
The food was not hot when it came out and it took forever. I've not had a good dining experience at Baratta's the last few times I've been there and I won't be going back anytime soon. I talked about my experience with some friends and they, too had similar experiences. It is too bad - it used to ...
This is the first time I've submited a review on the net but I don't know what the other reviewer is talking about. My wife and I have been going to DuBay's off and on since they opened in May and have been back in the last week. If anything there is a vast improvement on the experience. The new art...
What happened? When this place opened a few months ago it held such promise. Based on a most recent visit I'd say Dubay's is suffering from an identity crisis. The menu was largely the same, but the artwork, ambience, music and service was confusing, disturbing, and sorely lacking. My food was c...
Good Food
Average to mediocre Italian food that can be topped by any number of restaurants in Des Moines and elsewhere. Noah's Ark is much, much better Italian food. Will not eat at Baratta's again. Great service, ordinary food.

The service used to be worse and I looked forward to that because the food is so good. Service is better now and the soft shell with sour cream and beef enchiladas are excellent! Must have those or u might be dissapointed.

I was shocked to see that someone gave India Star a bad review. It's one of my all-time favorite restaurants. I love the chicken curry and Naan. The ambience is about a hundred times better since they moved out of the old, tiny building on Beaver. The new location is clean and beautiful. The fo...

I am a big fan of Indian cuisine, but this restaurant just plain sucks!
This a great new locally owned Des Moines restaurant. Dubay's has found the combination of comfortable atmosphere and fine food and drinks, along with late night hours that just may take Des Moines to the next level of urban living! The food is amazing! I especially enjoyed the crab cakes, gumbo ...

Perfect food! Perfect price! Perfect experience! PERFECT!
The Court Avenue Brew Pub is a fine place to eat if you don't mind leaving with you and your family smelling like an ashtray. With more and more restaurants in town voluntarily going smoke-free, I will never again take my family to such an unhealthy environment.

BEST SANDWICH EVER. PERIOD.
The food is great, the atmosphere is great and the beer is excellent (but don't expect it to taste like Bud Light). One real complaint is a lack of a dinner salad, complimentary bread, etc. before your meal. Any average/upscale restaurant should include this. I'm going back.
