I had Chicken Biryani and mango lassi. Enjoyed every bit of it.
You are all correct,,,the Italian Beefs are great. Don Walker bought the recipe in the early 60s and when he retired in 72 he sold the recipe with the business. I think it has changed hands a couple of times but the beefs are still yummy. Whenever I get back to Aurora I head there.
I remember when Don and Rose Walker opened the place back in 1966,,it was a old gas station. They had outgrown the original east side location.
I miss the Bar B Q sandwiches but the beefs are still the same. Also the Italian Flips are no more.
I also grew up in Aurora and spent quite a bit of money and time at the sandwich center. I'm now living in Brazil and will be state side next month and I'm making a "special" trip to Aurora just for the Italian Beef. Don and Steve, you are masters of your craft!

I love their food! The Italian beef is really good depends on what u like it with. I love their BBQ and its a good place when everyone in your family is craving something different. I love their breakfast too. they actually use real eggs!!!
Loyal Customer since Day they Opened, Connie has maintained the highest Quality since day one. Have tried over 15 Chinese Restaurants Closer to home and work and none compare!! Only comparison has been in San Francisco's Chinatown.
Great place! The food was excellent as well as the service. After dinner, my friends and I went to watch my favorite band play. We got there around 7 and stayed till 2am. So much fun! There is always something to do!!!!

From a lover of Chinese-American food, this place is one of my favorites. Delicious.
Horrible Food, owners where swearing and fighting with each other while dining. Had diarhea for 3 days. Would not recommend
The chicken is not fresh and it seems that the frying oil is used too many times. I guess that they want to save money but it tastes terrible and is not healthy to customers.
I was born and raised in Aurora, but moved away to Texas back in 1976. Don Walker's is the standard for sandwiches, especially the Italian Beefs that has yet to be beat. They never heard of the things down here, so I have to make a trip to Aurora at least once a year just to get my Walker's IB fix...
mediocre at best, the gyros were ok, definitely don't order the italian beef, theirs has absoultely no flavor. overall a little overpriced. service OK nothing to write home about..
Best food in Aurora for a quick bite. They have been in the same location on New York St since I was a kid and I am 44 now . Great gyro's and of course the Italian Beef ROCKS!! Guarantee you will be satisfied. Simple menu and good prices for the quality.
As for best don walker sandwich u need to grab a bite. I too received raw chicken at this place and no longer go there, I go to the one on west galena instead and they always get it right. On galena there is this nice hispanic man that ususally works at the drive up window and he is always so polite abd patient when I go there...it is a much better KFC.
Superior Chinese food! Great Kung Pao Beef!! Fast takeout service (always ready right at 10 minutes) and great in-house dining service. 5 stars!

This is the best place for Italian Beefs ever, in this world... My entire family, since I can remember, has always ordered from this restaurant. The food is AWESOME!!! Some of our family, live out of state, but this is a must go to place to eat while visiting family.
