My family and I reside at the Jersey Shore every summer and Rivoli's is always our #1 choice! This year we were excited to see a few changes on the menu. The oak grill is excellent! Service is always prompt and friendly but the owner never smiles.

Said they do not deal with change and they round the bill up or down. Never heard of such a thing. So if your change from bill is over .50 they keep the change and if its under .50 you get the change. Customer should always get the change no matter how much.Bill is high enough.

Excellent food, great pizza, good prices. For an appetizer, you have to try the fresh mozzarella brushetta. It is the best I have every tasted. For dinner I love the Penne Telaphono actually all the pasta dishes are excellent.

I would not say it is a bad dining place in Toms River since Toms River is bascially a cultural/dining wasteland! The portion is very generous, the service is typical for Toms River, the taste for the food is acceptable! The dining experience is just like back in the 80s when I was still a kid but things evolve and improve...guess not in TR! It is great to see some different styles of dining places in TR, including Bistro 44, Wang's Sushi, Thai....

My family frequents this restaurant at least every week or lately every other. We have been going for years. All i can say is no class!!! last week when we were at rivoli's i said we would never come back because the waitress was terrible. In fact she was embarrassing. My daughter, whom is 11 always has ordered off the children's menu as she has a stomach issue and it does not allow her to eat big portions. Never had they said anything as we have been going for so long and we refer many people. When we were their, the owners daughter was our waitress and has been before. When my daughter went to order she said " you are too old for the kids menu and you can't order from it. I told her that we always have and she has been our waitress plenty of times before. Everyone was looking at our table as she said "when do you draw the line." she was loud with her Minnie Mouse vocals and was very embarrassing. In fact, the table next to use commented to us as well with her behavior. After the meal she put her check down. I was so annoyed that I left her 60.00 for a 59.99 meal. I should have asked her for my change. As I mentioned, I always give 20-25 % and they all know that. We decided we would go there one more time tonight. We had a different waitress, thank god. My daughter did not order off the kids meal and we had a different new waitress. After i paid the check and gave 20 % to the brand new waitress and Rivoli's, the owners daughter came to my table put a penny in front of me and said "thanks so much for stiffing me." She was condescending and nasty. I told her she was rude and nasty the last visit. I asked her if her father, Tony, knew she was doing this and she said yes. I then walked to the counter and asked for Mr. "I think I have class" Tony. I told him how terribly disgusting it was for his daughter to do what she did and he said "good, you stiffed her last time." I told him she was terrible and I always give large tips there and he knows us well and we have been very loyal to his restaurant. He said you stiffed my daughter, I don't care and he walked away. This was so insane I can't even tell you. I then told him and his lovely angel that I would love to call the Asbury Park Press for a nice little story and the comment from his angel was "go ahead, ask the celebrities, publicity is publicity.' So was and rude. I will make a huge issue and make sure I go out of my way to make people aware how crazy this family owned business is. They are a disgrace!!! Go to Hot Tomato on Fischer. They have class.

Went here several times food was good. Went there today and the food was HORRIBLE! They changed the salad dressing - all you can taste if OIL! I order seafood in sauce with penne and was served with linguine. Sent it back. Food came out horrible. Penne was like eating baby food and sauce was filled with water! Coffee was cold! I will not go back there again! And only 1 waitress!!!!!

Been here couple times and loved it!! Went there about 1 month ago, and it was horrible! Went there on a Fri. night, place was empty. Ordered shrimp scampi dinner and the shrimp tasted like chemicals!! Spit it out sent it back and had to ASK to get it taken off bill. Then owner said he wouldn't take coupon because my dinner was already taken off bill. Waiter said business has been slow lately. We could tell... Will never go back again. Big disappointment!

We had a party of 18 go on on Easter Sunday to be extremely disappointed by the unprofessionalism of staff/owner. There was 1 waitress for our whole table, which she could not keep clean and get food sent to us in a timely manner. We had to get up ourselves to find extra silverware and napkins. Drinks were served in soda cans then left on the table. Waitress attempted to double bill us for a dessert that someone did not like and then gave to someone else at our table. She was rude and ignorant. The owner came out and started an argument for no apparent reason with another party at our table. Upon us leaving the resturant he felt it necessary to act a fool and bring out his kitchen staff for protection. We were there for an easter dinner with several children not a disaster and there was no intention of any physical alteracations on our end. I would not reccommend this resturant to anyone who has a party of 2 and definately would not recommend for the unprofessionalism of the staff/owner.

We live an hour away but make a trip to Rivoli's several times a year. It's more than worth it. The quality of the food outshines anything I've been able to find locally. You won't go home hungry. You will go home with enough leftovers for another meal.

Very noisy, crowded (especially in summer season) Italian restaurant featuring huge portions of well-prepared food. Price value can be so-so unless various discount cards and coupons are used. Almost everyone leaves with a "doggie bag". Daily specials displayed in menu but without prices: BEWARE!
