The food here is authentic. Period. Save the cost of flying to Mexico and taste the freshest Mexican food possible. I saw a review that claimed it was too expensive and you get what you pay for. Everything is fresh and they don't serve anything from a can. It was great.

Family and friends of ours have frequented this quaint restaurant on various occations in the past 5 yr. We have had some of the most amazing seafood dishes as well as old fashioned favorites. As for the previous review if you want steak go to a steak house not a Mexican restaurant. I over all have to say that everything we have had at the estabishment from seafood to chicken to old time favorites has been absolutley amazing. To our famliy this is the best mexican restaurant in Greenville.

The on line menu and pictures looked very good and I thought that I would try some of the more expense items on the menu that the restaurant said were good. Unfortunately I picked the ribeye steak (restaurant menu) with scallops and shrimp. On the on-line menu it was a T-bone and when it arrived at the table it was a T-bone steak. There is a saying here in Greenville SC “tougher than a Bi-Lo (a local grocery store) steak ... well this steak certainly was from Bi-Lo. It was about ¼ inch thick and chewy with gristle and not much taste. The shrimp were over cooked. The seafood platter had the same problem with over cooked shrimp. The chips were hard and a little oily; the green chile sauce was hot and tasty. On the good side... the appetizer of cheese dip was very good. The rice and black beans were tasty as was the sauce that accompanied the steak. I would not go back but maybe I just ordered items that most people don’t eat at this restaurant (hint – take it off the menu). I consider this restaurant very over priced, even if the food was of good quality.
