Charlotte has become a city in which it is easy to get crepes and snails, but difficult to get good "collards and cornbread". Sadie's has good, authentic Southern food. As one who grew up in the Charlotte area, I can attest that Sadie's is hard to beat for good Southern vegetables and chicken. The staff is friendly and seeks to make their presentation of Southern food the best. Overall, Sadie's is deserving of a full five stars.

This was the first time I have ever had to use plastic utensils to cut pork chops. (Tacky at a sit down establishment) However the pork chops were very good, but I'm very sorry to say the collard greens were the worst I have ever eaten. We often wondered did they have to go and catch, and kill the pig it took so long to get the dinner. This was very surprising since this restaurant was mentioned on the radio as one of the best in Charlotte. My goodness, what are the others like?
Terrace Cafe was Awesome!!!! The Smore's French Toast and the Red Velvet Waffle was to die for. This is just what SouthPark needed. There was no wait on Saturday and the service was excellent. You will not believe this place!!!! I will be telling all

Remember your Grandma's cooking and that special flavor only she could give it? Well you will find that here. From the main dishes to the sides home cooking at it's best hands down! And the staff treats you like family. I only wish I could bring them

I was told that whatever I order will take 30-45 minutes except baked chicken so I ordered baked chicken. It took over 30 minutes so we should have ordered whatever we wanted anyway. Mac and cheese was ok not great and baked chicken was pretty good. The food had flavor(I've read alot of reviews about not enough flavor) but the wait time is bad to say the least. If I do try this place again it will definitely be a call in order.

Sadly, I was very disappoited on my visit. I went for lunch with the desire to have the famous chicken wings and waffle. Was told by waitress that it would take too long for the wings so I opted for the baked chicken with mac-n-cheese and greens. Can you say "yuck"? I judge all soulfood joints by their ability to make mac-n-cheese. It was soupy, had no taste and barely any cheese. The chicken was tasteless and dry as well. I suffered through a bad meal and more than likely won't return. Many people say that they love the food, I must have just ordered the wrong thing. I say, "A good restaraunt is not simply a one-hit wonder." I don't know how they won that Hoodie Award.
