This is a great little Japanese restaurant here in Mebane. One would find a cheap little takeout places in small cities but Sake does Hibachi as well as sushi. The ambiance was also nice. Although not as fancy as some steak houses in larger cities but definitely a step
up from your typical Japanese place you will find in a shopping plaza. I ordered the fillet mignon lunch box and it was really good. The onion soup was excellent and the steak was tender and juicy. I would definitely come back again but next time I'll bring a date.

We had higher expectations for this restaurants but it turned out to be a bit below average. The chicken and steak hibachi meats where tough. For such quality you would not expect to pay their premium prices. $16 for a hibachi steak dinner. The saving grace of this experience was surprisingly their onion soup. If we were to come back, it would be just to pick up a quart of soup.
A relatively new Japanese habachi style cuisine without the grill top tables where you can see the chefs cook in front of you. so don't go expecting that kind of restaurant as the name alludes to. The food was fresh and the service was quick. I order
