I actually fly up to Grand Rapids to go to San Chez. I am a chef in Cincinnati and used to be a flight attendant. I have been to tapas restaurants all over the country and have yet to find a meal I enjoy more than one here at San Chez. I long for the black bean butter and blue cheese fritters are to die for....THis is a CANT MISS restaurant when in Grand Rapids!

I have been eating at San Chez since 1993. The food is quite authentic except for the Spanish tortilla. The food has garlic because its mediterranean. It's a tad on the expensive side, but the food is great and I love the atmosphere, which reminds me of dining in Spain.

I prefer the Spanish menu.

the food is decent, but its not as fantastic as everyone seems to say. Its also a bit overpriced for the quality....and they seem to put garlic in everything.

My favorite Grand Rapids restaurant; excellent food and service. Be prepared for a communal tapas expereince -- that makes it much more fun.
