Restaurant Description

Satara Thai Cuisine and Boutique Wine was opened in Sept 2008. The restaurant features exotic Thai cuisine that ranges from the common Satay with peanut sauce to the erotic Tom Kha Gai; Coconut milk soup with chicken and Thai herbs and
Gaeng Phead Pead Yang; Roasted duck in a red curry sauce.

Proprietors Jon & Sarusha Graham (Executive Chef) are on the premises all day (beginning with lunch specials) and evening features chosen by Sarusha.

The wine list is made up of boutique wines from small and featured vineyards. And there are private wine lockers to assure a favorite varietal doesn't run out. Jon and Sarusha offer frequent "pairing" events so "foodies" and rookies can learn and enjoy the exotic Thai with a new wine, previously unknown.

Weekends offer live music and there is a patio and semi-private VIP room for up to 30 people.

Excellent food, excellent atmosphere. Actually found this restaurant by accident. We were here from Maryland and I tell you I would fly back here just for another dinner here. The young man playing guitar during dinner was superb. Delightful and entertaining. The owner was on site and a very gracious host. Very forward concept however not kid reccommended

Oh, I love to be first.

I was just reading some pizza reviews and came across Satara Thai Cuisine and Boutique Wine Bar. I have to confess that while my husband and I have been more than a few times, it has been since just after Christmas that we were there last. Perhaps Valentines Day will be a nice time to book a re-visit. I see on the website for Satara (sataraaz.com) they are doing something with cocoa hearts in the bar...

Anyway, we love the food, the owners are always in the restaurant. We have been on quiet nights, and evenings when the place is packed to the gills. The evenings when the nice boy plays music is surprisingly "tasteful". Not so loud you ca not still have a conversation. It is really a nice time.

I found their portions good (however, I am 5'1") the tastes fantastic and discovering some unknown wines is always really fun.

OK... that's enough. I'll try to remember to come back right after my next visit to Satara.

Summing up. Go to Satara. Have some delicious Thai, have some boutique wines and have a blast. Oh... I can't want until spring when the patio will be sooooo nice.

Oh, and I didn't rate "kids" because I don't think kids these days eat Thai.. and, we're empty nesters.

Cheers
