Scranton Restaurant Guide

I love the food.Best BBQ i've ever had.That's the way i like my bbq. Used to eat here alot when i lived in town but moved to NC and miss eating here but i make special trips to Scranton just to eat the bbq.I sure do miss this bbq.Schoolhouse is a down home family place to go.If you haven't tryed it you must stop by.

Best barbecue ever!

Dined at the Old Schoolhouse today and it was quite a treat. The price was very reasonable and the food was awesome. Biker friendly business and just a neat place to hang out. I can't wait to go back.

i like the school house restaurant. I would like to work there as well.

Dined at the restaurant on January 23, 2009. The BBQ, fried chicken, vegetables and deserts were wonderful. I really, really enjoyed the fried chicken. I look forward to going back in the future.

Great restaurant overall housed in a refurbished old schoolhouse. The facility is the best part of the dining experience. Visit for a good buffet, but don't come expecting the best barbeque. It's good, but other items on the buffet are the food strengths , especially the fried chicken.

This is my FAVORITE barbecue place, and I've been
to many. The food is fabulous, and the atmosphere is really special -- anyone I've ever
recommended it to loves it as much as I do. If it weren't so far from Columbia, it would probably be impossible to get into! The coleslaw,
the barbecue, the veggies -- all are outstanding - your only problem will be choosing
among all the goodies. Definitely worth the detour, especially on the way to and from the beach.

This was a great dining experience. The Best BBQ I've tasted. The vinegar base BBQ makes your mouth water just thinking about it. The buffett is full of home made dishes. The cleanliness and atmosphere is very nice. I like the idea of having volunteer waiters and waitreses that work for tips that go to local charches and charities.
