Theotokis Goussis (better known as Dennis) was born and raised on the island of Corfu in Greece, where he faced struggle and poverty everyday. In 1969, Dennis came to the United States in hopes of creating a better life. Dennis and his siblings struggled and put everything they owned together (which was not much) to start a Greek Restaurant. They were the first to bring Greek food to Long Island, and brought with them the traditional recipes of food they would eat everyday. This restaurant was named Souvlaki Place and was located in the small town of Bayville. The restaurant was a success and before long Dennis and his siblings were able to sell the business to their cousin and go their separate ways. In 1997, Dennis and his younger brother Nick, opened Skorpios of Huntington, naming it after the island of Onassis "Skorpio". Once again, the restaurant became a success. After owning it together for 10 years, Nick decided to move to Florida and open his own restaurant, Skorpios II. They are still located in Lake Worth, FLA presently. Both restaurants have been successfully running for years. Skorpio's I has been established for 27 years, while Skorpios II has been around for 10 years, and both will continue to bring the best traditional Greek food on Long Island and in Florida. Come and taste for yourself!

Definitely the best souvlaki in the world ever since they were located in Bayville! Love that red sauce too, and this review is coming from someone who is a vegetarian!
