My girlfriend and I went to South Street Trattoria on Valentine’s Day for dinner prior to the show at MPAC. Please note that this is the location of the old “Brick Oven” restaurant. The new owner and head chef “Nunzio” has been only open since Feb 1st. So don’t use the reviews of the Brick Oven prior to Feb 1st as related to this new establishment. We had a fantastic dinner. Nunzio personally comes to as many tables as he can to introduce himself. Very friendly and we felt like we were family. The staff was great. Polite, knowledgeable, and attentive. In fact we learned that Nunzio provides his staff with lunch of the items on the menu so they know the entries on the menu well enough to recommend/describe them to customers. We had the Special Shrimp/Crab Ravioli and the Seafood Cannelloni. Both were made perfectly. We highly recommend this new restaurant and give it 5 stars. We are going back next Sat. Call for reservations on weekends.
