I think it would be more appropriate to call the restaurant "Bland of India". It is not very authentic.

Both shrimp and scallop curry were so over tomatoed I thought i was in an Italian restaurant. Spice was minimum. The huge shrimp were slightly undercooked. I would rate this meal pleasant, insipid and over priced.

This is a lovely restaurant that serves a great meal. I visit here often for dinner and lunch and the food is consistent and tasty. They have both a buffet and broad menu. A nice twist is that they have a selection of fine teas to top off the meal. Sitting at the bar can be fun also. They serve food till late and, in addition to a fun time talking to the other patrons, there are board games and even a hookah.
Spice of India is, by far, the Best Indian food I have ever had! The food -- delicious and authentic! The service -- friendly and extremely attentive! The atmosphere is elegant, warm and inviting. Spice of India is a restaurant I will keep coming back to!
Spice of India truly is a wonderful dining experience! I have recently moved from NYC and the food at Spice is excellent and better than I've had anywhere in NYC!!! The Curry is outstanding! After having not been to Spice of India in 6 months I was looking forward to a great lunch, but was very disapointed. The food is too Americanized tasting. It was not very good, this time.

Food is really good. We always order the food "medium" spicy. Love the organic wines and the overall atmosphere! Bar is great too. Friendly service! Chicken Tikka is our favorite! Try the vegetable dishes! and lamb vendaloo!

I found the food to be excellent. The service has always been good and the owner extremely friendly. I like going to lunch since the quality is great and you are getting your meal at a cheaper price. So far I have never had to wait very long for my meal at dinner. I love the Chicken Vindaloo the most.

Be very careful when you get your bill. The people next to us were overcharged.....additionally, the staff decided to have a shot on our bill. After talking to the owner, the charges were removed. We ordered the Lamb Chops (excellent flavor) Medium Rare but received them Well Done. The service was very slow - over 1 hour sitting at the bar to get our food. The Chicken Biryani had a nice flavor but once again the meat was overcooked and dry. Maybe related to the time it took to get to us? Prices were high for the experience we received. I was excited after they got a new chef, but once again would steer clear. I hope they change things....we need good Indian in the area.
