We were very disappointed with our eating experience at this restaurant. Upon walking into the establishment, you know you've just walked into a place that looked and felt old and not kept up. Ceiling tiles are stained and visible mold is growing around vents, the ceiling, and water even dripping. The food was not tasteful and unappealing. My wife and her brother ended up sick after eating there. We have come to find out the health inspector closed the place down in November 2008 for 3 days because of them finding the place infested with insect droppings and rat/mice droppings. Others have told us that they saw these vermin running around in the dining room between tables and booths and when they said something to workers, were given free meal coupons to buy their silence. Wendy Ryan, an investigative reporter on the ABC news station featured Stacy's Buffet on her Dirty Dining report in January/February 2009. It is not worth risking our health and life to eat at this place in order to save a few bucks. There are certainly plenty of better places to eat that treat their customers with better respect. This certainly is a place where they don't want you to complain or make waves. You risk getting thrown out and barred or, they buy your silence with free meal tickets.
After dining in my fair share of Italian Restaurants over the years this is without a doubt the best. Not fancy or pretentious just great food and a wonderful staff. Ask the owner for suggestions and be prepared for a wonderful dining experience
I haven't eaten at Uncle Frank's, but since I work nearby, I have had their takeout twice. Both times it was an order of the battered mushrooms with horseradish/mayonaisse sauce, which I think is called Darby sauce. I love, love LOVE those mushroom

The entree's are all great and the burgers are made from fresh beef, the saganaki is lit at your table, and pastries are brought fresh from Tarpon Springs. The entertainment includes karaoke and a live-action type poker game complete with a dealer.

a diner from Clearwater, Florida
I had been a loyal customer of Stacey's Buffet for almost 6 years, eating there 2-4 times per week. Last month I went in for lunch and after serving myself at the buffet, sat down at my table. I put my fork into a portion of potato salad and noticed that what I thought was a piece of celery, was actually a light green piece of glass a little over an inch long. I discreetly contacted the manager, Karren Vanstronder, and pointed the glass out to her. I never had any contact with her before this. She denied that the glass could have gotten into food. I asked to her phone Homer Duff who owns the restaurant. She walked away and returned 20 minutes later with two Largo Police Department Officers who told me that she claimed I caused a disturbance and I was to leave the restaurant and was given a no trespass warning. The management of this restaurant evidently likes to fire loyal customers. Conclusion: Stay away and eat elsewhere.
