To those who claim the Stone Bar has changed or declined are out of their minds. The food to this day is STILL wonderful, delicious, fresh and dynamic. The Chef buys his fish FRESH from Hawaii, flown in a few times a week and served that night. The steaks are delicious, the fish super-fresh and the apps are unique and very tasty. For those who claim the food is pricey, well...most of these folks have never traveled outside of the Pocono's. The food is no more expensive then most good restaurants and you get what you pay for. The portions are BIG and the food delicious! Stone Bar Inn is the best restaurant in the Pocono's and people who knock it may was well eat at Red Lobster or some other place that serves frozen, disgusting food! I think the restaurant is slow because most of the people living in Stroudsburg are transient transplants from NY who can't even afford their mortgage. Ifyou want a great meal, Stone Bar is it!

I have visited this restaurant twice. Once was during a visit to a family member's home in the Poconos for thanksgiving twelve years ago, and then again during a visit to a family member's home in the Poconos for thanksgiving last week.
The food is to die for, the atmosphere is marvelous, the staff is friendly, and there is a hint of magic in the air.
I have so enjoyed this restaurant that for twelve years I have drank my coffee every morning from a cup given to me during my first visit. Given that I hail from Baton Rouge, I am not able to visit often, but I sure hope to make sure I visit every chance I get. Kudos to Andrew, and by the way Andrew... Cricket says Hi, and I thank you for the new cup!
It was our first time there---we had a coupon for 25.oo ---you had to spend a min purchase of 35.00 to use the coupon---well in the end we spent 46.oo then with coupon it came to 21.oo. The part that i didnt like was they add in the tip with your bil

We have been regulars at the Stone Bar for the past 15 years. When Chef Moore took over, this little "joint" it florished and the food was tremendous. It became the hottest table in the Poconos. You had better have reservations if you wanted to dine there. It was crowded everynight of the week. About a year and a half ago changes were made. The menu was changed and redesigned. Many of the items that had been there for years were removed. Prices were raised and their was a stark drop off in the quality of the food. The place is now mostly empty. You can walk in and get a table. The wait staff is transient. Someone has really dropped the ball here. This was for a long time a great place to get a great meal. What a shame.
