This is the old Chaiyo Thai restaurant that used to be adjacent to the movie theatre at the Bellevue Galleria. I never knew what happened to them. I was looking for Thai take-out the other night and ran across Tangerine Thai online. I was thrilled to find my old favorite under a new name. The food is as good as I remember it, if not better. And the family that runs the restaurant is so nice. They seem to really care about their customers. I have missed them!
We had the Green Curry with homemade noodles(a new favorite!)- a very clean, fresh dish, the Panang Curry (an old favorite) and Basil Chicken Thai Style - a minced white meat chicken dish which was nice.
I loved the curbside service for take-out. If you call for take-out, specify 'Curbside'. You phone them as you are nearing the restaurant and you can sidestep a tortuous trip to an underground parking garage and zip in and out of an above ground parking lot on 4th.
WARNING-this is real Thai food. Order 1 star if you have a sensitive palate. 2 stars is fairly spicy!
