The owners of Bagel Palace, Danny and Lily, have worked very hard over the years to build up the "Palace." Staff turnover is low and Danny and Lily are there all the time, working hard alongside the employees. They welcome regulars by name and after a few visits will remember your "usual." The decor has been very tastefully upgraded on a regular basis, but various mementos are still seen on the counters and walls, gifts of patrons past and personal items too. The food is prepared to order in good time, is fresh and done well. The restaurant and its bathrooms are clean and well-kept. When I lived in the area there were times I ate there several times a week (breakfast, mostly), and when my mother moved to Florida and I brought her there, she never went anywhere else for her morning bagel! She recently passed away and they miss her, I know. I only wish they had outdoor seating! Maybe one of these days...They are always working on adding on to their menu and changing up things at the place to keep it current with the times...A definite must try if you are into authentic deli experience at reasonable prices for todays economy..

Let me tell you Active Diners getting good service at a breakfast place is getting rare down here. Not too mention only a few QUALITY NY style bagel delis are left in the South Florida area that have live up to your expectations. I've been a patron of the Palace for the past 10 years since I moved down from New York and can sum up my experiences in a few words:Delicious and consistent with both service and food and has been under same management since it was opened. The servers have been there forever so they are very knowledgeable about the menu choices and do not waste anytime greeting and taking your order. The kitchen staff is professional and you can see your meal getting prepared in the open kitchen so you know it has too be immaculate at all times. The portions are very generous and they offer great breakfast and lunch specials that include coffee or a drink. The bagels are one of the closest things to a real New York bagel I've had in a while down here. (Einsteins bleeehhh) All the salads are made fresh daily such as whitefish salad, tuna salad, chicken salad(my favorite),smoked Nova and Lox hand sliced, etc etc. Well find out for yourself and tell em Lester D. sent ya you will probably even see me there since I frequent it daily. The older gentlemen with the mustache amd white members only jacket reading the New York times and after you try it you will become a regular just like me. Trust me Lester D. is a man of his word and I vouch for this unique bagel diner in a sea of corporate run copy cats with horrible bagels and even worse service.

Best Bagel place in Pines! I live off their $3.49 Breakfest special that includes coffee. Family run place with a cozy atmosphere.
