a diner from Los Angeles
I felt I was scammed. I have travelled to Japan and I know what the prices are for sushi and sashimi... The Hump was priced as if it was based in Downtown Tokyo, not a runway strip in Santa Monica. The taste was not up to par to other sushi places in Los Angeles or San Francisco; cooked items were either greasy or insanely salted... Yuck!! The portions were so small, yet so expensive... we spent about $150 per person, but we ended up hungry. We ended up going straight to another restaurant to get some dinner. This is not the most I've ever spent per person, but it is the least I have ever felt I got for my money.
