Our experience at TJ's was enough for us to say we will never return. The restaurant is nice and they have a very inviting bar with flat screen TV's. In fact, the first time we went to TJ's it was to grab a couple of drinks and scope the place out. Our first impression was that the bar was a bit over priced for Auburn, but we agreed that we would return for the food, which we now regret.
We ordered steak and lobster with a side salad each. The waitress, while nice enough, was not aware of what dressings were options. Our steak was bland and tasted watery. Our guess is that it had been frozen and cooked over the grill. The lobster was as plain jane as you can get.
As for the price, I would much rather spend my money going to the Sole Proprietor. Very expensive for what you get.
Overall,...very disappointed.
