Just had to write a review. My experience with Tony's. Long but instructive.

Take away: Tony, if you read this, please teach your help, specifcally the manager and hostess, to greet people when they come in. Not when they are finished their stuff.

On Saturday, 5/3 I called for take out. 30 minutes. okay, maybe busy, just seems long.

I arrive 35 minutes and pizza is waiting. So far, so good. I walk up to counter. manager is on cell phone with employee who (I guess) wouldn't come in. Manager continues with conversation, leaning on counter with head in hand.

The hostess and a waitress, both who are at the counter, begin a conversation across me: "where does this dinner salad go?" Hostess "to table whatever".

Manager, in meantime, must feel that there is too much noise with the hostess/waitress conversation. He stands up, moves away from counter, and continues conversation on phone.

Finally, now four minutes since entering, the guy at the oven comes over and asks if he could help me. Yep, finally a chance to get my pizza. I give him my card. He begins to ring it up and manager comes over , grabs it from him and continues ringing it up.

I open box while asking for oregano and garlic. Cook gets two shakers, oregano doesn't work. I ask if they have little take-out containers. No, only shakers I can use at counter. I got box open.

There are three 2-3 inch diameter bare spots that look as if the cheese was pushed away form the area (imagine crop circles on a pizza pie). I ask what is this. The manager says, that's where bubbles collapsed and left nothing. No sauce, no cheese, no sausage. Nothing.

I found that hard to believe since I am a crotchty old guy who's been eating pizza for about 45 years and have never seen that phenomenon. Is that a Huntsville thing?

Amazing.
