Friendly, cheap drinks, a location within spitting distance of water, what else could you want in a local bar? Turk's stands out with its copper cbartop, overhead aquariums, and floor-to-ceiling photographs of late owner and Hollywood strongman actor Harry "Turk" Varteresian (who also ran a restaurant in Sunset Beach that eventually became Turc’s bar). He passed on a few years back and his daughter now runs the plac much the same as dad.
The burgers are fantastic, as are the homemade soups (I like the clam chowder). A great place for a weekend breakfast/lunch or an evening drink before dinner. I recommend the pepper steak or the prime rib.
