Baltimore Restaurant Guide

The year was 1937, when Italian immigrants opened a little tavern in Little Italy Baltimore. The Mrs. began preparing food from her homeland to feed her husbands hungry friends between card games thus the "Little Italy" Restaurant Scene was born. 73 years later the founders are gone, the sons are retired yet the past employees carry on the Velleggia Legacy at our current location. Known to the locals as the BIG V, Velleggia's is still preparing those authentic Seafood & Italian dishes. Located on Water Street near the HARBOR Velleggia's is close to the Business & Tourist District and also convenient for the locals to enjoy. Miss Betty remains in the kitchen crossing the last five decades preparing our wonderful soups and sauces. Our family invites you to step into our world where you will find yourself "Lost in the Sauce"... If you choose to dine in our dining rooms or Rat Pack Pub you will take a trip down memory lane with the Sinatra Era Music in the background. You will find pictures of Frank Sinatra, also known as "Blue Eyes", the "Voice", Frankie or "Chairman of the Board" and pictures of the Stuebenville, Ohio is also featured in larger than live size photos. Dino, known as "The King of Cool" and as the Ambassador to the Italian community in America will be heard singing many favorites including ours "Everybody Loves Somebody".

Our restaurant is dedicated in appreciation to my wife Olga who stands by me daily in live, to my father Thomas Coffman Jr., Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin. Dad, Blues Eyes and Dino are gone now, but not forgotten.
