Fairhope Restaurant Guide

Disappointing, this year the happy hour oysters prices went up, they are now %5.50/dz ! Shame.

We have eaten at the Wintzell restaurants in Saraland, Fairhope and Guntersville....ALL are verrrrry good.. will eat there everytime we are in those areas.

They have completely remodeled this restuarant. It is better than it has ever been! They have new bathrooms, new hardwood floors, and have somehow brightened it up and kept the beloved charm. The staff seems more caring, and the food tastes better (if thats possible) It really is amazing in there now and I recomend checking it out. Even if you weren't thrilled with it before they closed down, give them a second chance. They have gone out of their way to improve the dining experience and I love it!

This place was horrible! I complained to manager as did another customer who walked outside after me and complained about her service and food and he couldn't have cared less. The service was terrible, food not to great and the bathrooms were plain nasty!!! The restaurant was littered with dirty tables but manager found time to sit at bar and chat with bartender. maybe thats why we couldn't get good service. Manager got my name and number for his boss J. Daily to call but she never did. I spent 6 days in the bathroom with food poisoning on top of everything. (went to doc) Manager said they get most of their business from tourist, not locals. The reason is eat there once and you will never go back. There are too many other places to eat that are clean, take care of you and really want you to come back! This is not that place. I have been to Mobile but this is one place I will NEVER go to again.

After eating for many years at Wintzell's in Mobile, it was an unexpected pleasure to find this Wintzell's in Fairhope.
It was ss wonderful as we expected it to be. Will never go to Gulf Shores again without driving to Fairhope to eat here!!!

My wife and I were setted right away around 5:30 pm. There was one other table of three being served. The waitess waited hand and foot on them and never said or ackledge us being there. We waited for about 15 minutes and finally got up and walked out. The manager was at the door and tried to get us to come back in. To many other places to eat to be treated like that. Too Bad, looked like a fun place to eat and become a regular at once we moved there.

My first experience was at Wintzell's on the causeway into Mobile back in 1974 when I was in school at Providence school of nursing. We ate there every Friday evening. I just recently visited orange beach and we traveled to Fairhope and we had lunch at your Resturant. I was so thrilled that you still had the West Indies Salad. It was a Fabulous lunch and one I will always remember. Thank you!
