"Little did I know as a kid in Brooklyn that I would be carrying on a family tradition that spans now six generations." The original "Zi Teresa" was established in 1890 by my Great Aunt Teresa as a cart and wheel food vendor on the bay of Santa Lucia Naples, Italy, under the panoramic view of Mount Vesuvius, selling fried fish and bread to the local fisherman and merchants. Her popularity grew and local land developers gave her the opportunity to establish her trattoria which became immensely popular because of the quality and consistency of her cuisine. It later evolved into the world famous restaurant that was catering to celebrities such as Elizabeth Taylor, Jane Mansfield, Grace Kelly, Maria Callas, Esther Williams, and gangster Lucky Luciano. She even had a 8 piece orchestra that played nightly at her 800 seat capacity eatery.

Today we carry on the legacy at our new family owned location here on Greenleaf Avenue as "Zi Teresa." All our credentials are on our walls that honor our heritage by the Italian Gastronomic Academy. The original location of Zi Teresa in Naples, Italy is now an historical monument.

Today our family presents to you more than a century of classic Italian dishes as they were meant to be.
