A refreshingly real dining experience. Clean, friendly, and very 'down home' with no 'putting on airs'. Good food, reasonable prices, easy to find.

We have been to Zips now 10 plus times. The food has has alway been great. You get much more value then you get in other area dining places. The decor does remind us of a VFW hall in a positive way clean and functional. The Sunset specials make it an even better deal. My wife always has the prime rib. Friends from Rhode Island said they have never had better clams. Be sure to ask for extra garlic dressing to dip the hot bread stick into
Besta One Italian Grille is the best restaurant in the area. I have tried most of the restaurants and none compare with their food, service, cleanliness and prices. We visit 2 a month and have tried most of their menu, I have not found any dishes t

Just a note to let you know how impressed we were with Besta One this weekend. My husband and I enjoyed the wonderful atmosphere, the music and dinner. We enjoyed a bottle of Cabernet Sauvignon with the Besta One Italian Feast Platter for Two. Ou

My dining experience (if you can call it that) differs from the other reviewers. First of all the atmosphere in Zip's is horrifying. It looks like a cheap job done by someone's relatives that had a hammer and some lattice. The wait staff did not have a clue, they actually brought a cold gluey soup before they even brought our wine to our table. When they did bring the wine, it was wrong, not once but twice. The steak was tough and overcooked-this is a steakhouse, remember? The appetizers were bland and nondescript. They didnt even suggest desserts, and just left the bill on the table while we were still wrestling with the overdone steak. Yes I should have sent it back, but we just wanted to get out of there. There are much better places to dine in Brooksville, my suggestion is to pass this one up.

I've lived in the Tampa Bay area for over 35 years but I grew up on Long Island in a huge Italian family. I haven't had Italian food this good since the last time I was in New York. My fried calamari appetizer was excellent with a wonderful marinara sauce. Chef Vito Stancanelli's shrimp scampi is, simply put, the best I've ever had, anywhere. It was served over a bed of Angel Hair pasta, which was perfectly al dente. My wife had the chicken parmigiana, which was tender & juicy with a great marinara sauce (and I'm very, very picky) and the perfect amount of melted mozzarella. You've got to have Chef Vito's signature Creamy Garlic dressing on your salad - you'll use any leftovers as a dipping sauce for your bread, I guarantee it. As an added bonus, our waiter, Michael, provided us with great, personal service and had an intimate knowledge of the menu. If you like real, home-cooked Italian food, Zip's is the place.

The new ownership and management have retained theexcellent food and service for which Zip's was previously known. The salads are more than ample, steaks and prime rib are cooked perfectly and the various sauces for beef, pasta, etc are great! Keep up the good work.

If you are looking for great food, this is the place. The marinara sauce is just like Mama made. The dinner menu is varied and the food is great. The fried clams with marinara on the side is the best and the price is excellent. The chicken piccata is superb and the serving is very generous. The seafood Fresh Salmon is a delight. They have only 100% angus beef and the prime rib is a meat lovers dream.
