Allentown Restaurant Guide

January 7th 2012 was my first visit but it will not be my last. My friend and I liked every bit of the place. From the friendly greeting, the friendly staff and the excellent food and service. We have been to all different restaurants and we rate Henry's as one of the best. Carla was our server and she was funny, sweet and friendly. We will be back again. Kay and John

Food was okay. the fish had a gritty taste. Does this mean if was not cleaned properly? Staff was friendly, atmosphere has a bar or tavern appearance. Tables too close together. There was a rips on booth seating. I would not rate this establishment 5 star.

Our Waitress was amazing and very pleasant!!! The food was wonderful !!! But....we were a party of four and were there for the first time with our friends who were celebrating their Anniversary. We were finishing up our desserts and coffee when the "busser" approached our table and asked if we could please leave because the next reservation was there. I felt so bad for our friends, who as you recall, were celebrating their Anniversary. They were embarassed because it was our first time at Henry's. Between the two couples, we spent $200.00. We weren't lingering or loud !!! I can't believe the "busser" was sent to do the dirty work of "chasing" us out. Where was the Manager ??? I will NEVER visit Henry's again !!!

Amazing food! Every time we go the meals are perfect! Try the soft shell crab!

First time there a week ago to dine with business associates from the area who spoke very highly of it. I was not disappointed. Waitress was very friendly and took ample time to explain specials etc. Food was outstanding (I had the Henry VIII special, Petite fillet minion with lump crab meat and brown butter ) Interesting atmosphere with owner cooking behind the bar. Fine salad bar and good deserts. A great example of why you should speak to local residents to find great small restaurants instead of just going to the same old chain outlets when out of town. Looking forward to returning on my next trip to Allentown.

Expensive and not very good. salid bar could have been much better. Waitress did not have any personality. Not a kid friendy place...no kid menu and bar like atmosphere. Potatoe skins i ordered were horrible. Had a crab dish which was over cooked and tough. Place is small, felt jammed in. Would not recommend at all.

The restaurant is a fantastic place to eat. The food is always cooked to bliss and the environment is fantastic. Brian Krans, the new owner, is a fabulous chef who handles the pressure of large parties and many dinners while perfecting each meal. Service is quick, and the waitresses are friendly. Smoking in the restuarant is allowed because of the numerous amount of people that like to smoke, but the ventilation in the small quiant place is great allowing an asmethic person to breathe easily. Reservations are highly recommended because Henry's gets quite busy!

A great palce to dine. Never had a bad meal.
But the restaurant is small and there is no nonsmoking section. They don't need a nonsmoking section. It certianly wouldn't hurt their business
to eliminate smoking.

We have been to this small restaurant many many times over the years. I'm happy to say the food is consistant. We have tasted almost every dish on the menu, and enjoyed all of them. The servings are large,I think it is a great deal for the price. Friendly bartender serving great drinks, good salad bar as well.
My only complaint would be the bread and rolls served with the dinner, but that's a small matter.

Terrific food made by your side. A great food experience! My compliments all around. Gotta see it and taste it to believe it.

crab meat over top in a light sauce. Oh yeah,
they have a salad bar as well~ you don't see them to often. Make reservations!

Absolutely delicious and in a comfortable environment! I loved the lobster special and the petite filet. One of the best meals I ever had. So glad I found it!

Henry's is a wonderful dining experience. The staff, waitresses, bar tenders, and chef's are very polite, and ready to make your night most pleasurable. The food is excellent and served steaming hot, to your liking.

Excellent Food - Great Atmosphere - We have brought friends there and they have loved it!! Make reservations in advance for the seating in a booth...

A superb place. I visit Allentown on business ~ once a year and this is a must on each occasion. Best dish is the lobster that is permanently on the "specials".

BEST FOOD IN THE AREA ! ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC !

My husband and I love Henry's. We visit at least two - three a year for special occasions. The specials are always a hit for us. My husbands favorite is the soft shell crabs. It a must to go when they are on the menu. Everything I've tried on the menu so far has been fantastic

The softshell crab dinner is fantastic !
Same goes for the snapper soup.
One of the best restaurants in the area.
