Discover Downtown Atlanta

Good old southern cooking to championship sports

Welcome to a city where it was once completely desecrated by war, and now is one of the largest cities in the south. Atlanta, home of a number of sports teams such as the Atlanta Braves, the Atlanta Hawks, the Atlanta Falcons, and the Atlanta Thrashers. Atlanta was also lucky enough to be the site of the 1996 Olympic which mark the 100th year anniversary of the great games. The downtown area is base operation for some very large companies and corporations like CNN and the Coca-Cola Company. The Coca-Cola Company even puts on a fantastic tour of the factory and lets you have as much Coke-Cola products as you want at the end of the tour. Try and check out as well the newly built Georgia Aquarium where you can get face to face with a many underwater predators. Or if the weather permits you, then try and go to Stone Mountain Park. Here you will see many historical sites but I am sure the carving in the face of the huge rock that is larger than a football field will catch your eye. If you want to see some wildlife then head over to the Atlanta Zoo, where some of the world’s rarest animals live. If you are looking for some good old southern cooking then head to Canoe’s where the south is in every bite. Or if you wanted to dine a little finer then head over to the Bacchanalia or try Chops and Lobster Bar, between the food and the atmosphere of each these places you cannot lose. But when the sun goes down, the fun begins.
