Detroit: History, sports, and a whole lot of soul

From music to cars to sports, Detroit has left an indelible mark on history. But the Motor City is also a great destination for business or leisure. Here you'll find a diverse assortment of museums, performing arts, fine and casual dining, and lots of history to soak in. A great way to spend the day in the Midwest's oldest city is touring one of Detroit's museums, which include Belle Isle Conservatory, Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History, children's museums, Detroit Historical Museum, Detroit Institute of Arts, and the Detroit Science Center. And speaking of history, let's not forget the automobile. You can learn all about it at the Henry Ford Museum. Music has always been part of the fabric here, from the rhythm of the automobile assembly lines to the homegrown musicians who perform in schools, nightclubs, and concert halls. One of the greatest examples of music's place in Detroit's history can be experienced at the Motown Historical Museum. Here you can learn all about that famous sound of the '60s that included such legends as Smokey Robinson and The Miracles and The Supremes. Like music, architecture has also served as a voice of this industrial capital, with homes, theaters, and office buildings created by noted architects such as Albert Kahn, C. Howard Crane, and Mies van der Rohe.

Do not eat at this restaurant. I gave them 1 star for everything only because there was no Zero rating available. They are takers of the community and not contributors. Their food is less than edible and the service i...
