Welcome to Giovanni's! The story has it that In 1968, John and Lucille Garvin made a small East Wind Bar their own and created the Garv Inn. Their son, Michael, was born just a year later. In 1994 he took over the tavern, which through the years has expanded and remodeled into a spacious and welcoming spot it is today. In 1972, Tom and Betty Ferguson opened Giovanni's Restaurant, named after Betty's father, in a storefront on Roosevelt road. Their daughter Nikki, was born a year later. The eatery soon outgrew its humble beginnings and moved to larger digs, until the Fergusons' retirement in the early 2000's. Nikki worked at both restaurants and exported Giovanni's to Iowa during her college years. Now the second generation of these long time Berwyn business owners and their spouses are coming together to create a new bar and grill, which will offer the best of both their worlds- Cold beer, world famous ribs and great prices!
