The Alchemist & Barrister Restaurant was the brainchild of a Chemist & Attorney 30 years ago, hence the name. Located in the heart of the Downtown Princeton Business Area, The Alchemist & Barrister Restaurant is Princeton's most popular local gathering place. Featuring two beautifully renovated, non-smoking dining rooms, a smoke free patio (open all year), and a traditional Pub - The Alchemist & Barrister has something for everyone. In addition to a truly innovative Dinner menu, is an internationally influenced Pub menu (served throughout the entire restaurant) plus daily features for both menus. In addition to a full service bar featuring 9 beers on tap and a well-selected wine list, we offer a splendid choice of wines by the glass, classic and specialty Martinis, plus an entire menu of invigorating frozen drinks. During the warmer months, the patio is open air, located on a walk through alley (the arch way to Palmer Square). The dining rooms, newly renovated, are as comfortable as they are stylish. Created by a celebrated local designer, you will find the atmosphere perfect for an intimate dinner, a business get together or a celebratory event. The Pub is a classic throwback to the days when congregating in the local pub meant socializing, meeting people and conversing in a pleasant and friendly manner.
The Alchemist & Barrister is open seven days a week, Lunch from 11:30 until 2:30; the Pub menu is served from 2:30 until 12:00 midnight. Dinner is served from 5:30 until 10:00 Monday through Thursday, until 10:30 Friday and Saturday, and 5:00 until 10:00 on Sunday. An a la cart brunch is served every Sunday from 11:00 until 3:00. All menus are available throughout the entire restaurant.
