The best pizza in Charleston, SC - Sabatino's Pizza in Charleston, SC is a gem. A diamond in the rough actually. The place is very small. Easy to miss off Marion Square if you aren't paying attention. They do have a few tables, but you are practically in the kitchen with the with the cook. The food is incredible however. The authentic NY style pizza is unbelievably thin and delicious, but my favorite is a pepperoni and mushroom stromboli. OUT OF THIS WORLD. If I'm ever on death row, THIS is what I want for my last meal! The ingredients are fresh and the prices are cheap. Owner seemed too friendly to have been from NY, but his accent gives him away. Highly recommended!

I was hesitant when I walked by but the NY Style Pizza sign caught my eye. It didn't look the brightest and cleanest place around but... hey it looks like an authentic NY Pizza joint. I ordered 2 slices, one pepperoni and the other mushroom. They were hot and delicious. The crust was done just right and a perfect balance of tomato sauce. It was not some greasy slab of pizza that you typically find at "New York Style" pizza places. If I'm in another mood for a good slice of pizza I'll know where to come.
I eat here fairly frequently and it very much reminds me of New York. It's exactly what a New York style pizzeria is supposed to be like. The calzones are excellent as well. The employees are very friendly and are very quick serving you.
