Lovely sunset dinner of a small crab louie, clam chowder and sourdough roll. Nice to have smaller options on serving size. Good value for the money. Dessert tray presentation was very nice. Pleasant service. Nice view of the water and boats.

Went here for Sunday brunch and it was excellent. Had a buffer that included cesar and Greek salad; rolls, bagels, croissants, crackers; eggs benedict;2 kinds of potatoes;mellons, grapes, and pineapple;meat loaf; chicken;salmon baked with mushrooms;crab and artichoke dip; chream cheese, salmon, onions, capers, and chopped eggs; shrimp, clams, and mussles;waffles and french toast, creme brulee, cheese cakes, chocolate pie, cookies, and pastries. Coffee, tea, orange juice, and champagne. Tou could also order special item not on the buffet like soup and omlettes. It was 21.95 per person so bring your appetite.
Definitely worth a trip. The front isn't inviting but the food is worth another trip from Chehalis.Chicken Cordon Bleu was excellent, the oysters tasted like they just were shucked straight from the ocean.
Went during there 25th annv. celebration, it was great, retro wine prices and awesome special; 10oz halibut topped with crab and bernaise sauce. Definitly gonna be back!
Incredibly apathetic management, bordering on hostile. Over-priced food. Visited on 4 separate occasions to be fair and am only able to say the Halibut & Chips basket was good and the bathroom relatively clean.

Everything was nice about this restaurant, except the food! I had seen a review on a different web site that raved about the clam chowder. Since that is one of my favorites I ordered a bowl of clam chowder and a Caesar Salad. The clam chowder was awful ... mostly flower paste and no taste. I don't think I found a single clam. The Caesar Salad was very dry (like one of those ready salad bags from Safeway) with a few croutons and Parmesan cheese. I won't be back. Try Anthony's or the Oyster House for good seafood.

I just recently dined at the Budd Bay Cafe for the first time. I've lived in Olympia a long time but always heard that it wasn't very good. Recently however, I heard that it was changing due to new ownership, so I gave it a shot. It was great. The food was excellent as well as the service. I would definately recommend Budd Bay. I know I will be going back.
