Sherman Restaurant Guide

I've lived here for 3 years. Finally decided to try this place out. It was wonderful! Great food & service. Clean restaurant.

We've been coming here for a few years now. These guys rock! We love the pulled pork and the jalapeno cornbread. Can't wait for brisket chili, too!

This is CRAZY good bar-b-q!!! When we are in Sherman, this is the only place we eat!! Don't get rid of the dutch oven potatoes, dude, they rock!!!!

We have heard alot about this place, but we don't get to Sherman very often. When we were at WNJ last week, we overheard people talking about the bbq and it reminded us of you. It was the best bbq I have ever had and I am 56 years old. My grandkids all had to sign a dollar bill to stick to the ceiling. We're sorry we didn't try this sooner but we will be back for more great Texas que!!

Thanks Aaron for putting Sherman on the map when it comes to great bbq!! Congratulations on your 4th BEST of Texoma, anyone who tries it- will see why you are the best!! We travel around searching out the best BBQ we've heard about on T.V. and through word of mouth. For anyone who will listen, YOU HAVE to find this place!! The food, service, and atmosphere is the absolute best. We will definitely travel the 100 plus miles to eat here again and again.

I had to laugh when I read the diner from Cartwright's review. I have lived here ever since this restaurant opened and the parking lot never has more than 3 or 4 cars in it, with very few diners inside. I have eaten here a couple of times, and the food was "edible", but far from the best barbeque i've ever had.

I have heard the hype about this little place. I showed up for a quick lunch on a Monday. I was greeted by a full parking lot and a line of people out the door. I almost kept driving cause I didn't know how long this would take but the smell of smoke forced me to park next door and walk over. It was so worth it!!! Everything on my plate was totally perfect. Keep up the great work!!

We rode out to Cackle and Oink on Sunday with a bunch of friends. They all swore by this place and as a first-time visitor, I see why. I love to try bby everywhere I go, and the name had me excited before we ever arrived. I had the 2 meat for $9 and these were the BEST ribs I have ever had. I have several favorite brisket across Texas, this is as tasty as all my favorites. I think they have a great variety of vegetables (very tough to decide.) Just when I thought it couldn't get any better, for dessert we split the pecan cobbler with blue bell ice cream. This place will become a Texas legend someday if they don't change anything.

In the words of Homer Simpson, "MMMMMM....barbeque". Just awesome food! The meat is incredible and the side dishes are many and each have their own individual taste. Best I've had. the service was quick and the staff very friendly.

I moved to NY over two years ago and everytime I go back home, there is a reunion with Cackle and Oink. Thanks Arron!

We discovered Cackle & Oink in Texas Highways magazine. My wife and I consider ourselves bbq afficianados. It is the ONLY place we eat our bbq now!! I only wish there was one here in Dallas, but it's still worth the drive.

I've had bbq all through the South. This is by far the best I've ever had. Their beef puts Cooper's of Llano to shame. Their pulled pork would make Big Bob Gibson's of Decatur, AL shake in his boots. Not only is the bbq great but their side dishes are unbelievable too. I can't wait to make it back!

this is the BEST pulled pork, ribs, bbq, chili place in Texas!!!! Excellent food, awesome service, sweet ambience!
