Young's Catfish is one of the oldest known names in the area for Catfish. It is served hot and fresh. The cornmeal coating is light and nicely seaso...
The food is good. I was given a $50.00 gift certificate. When I was going to use it I was told I had to use all of it at the same time. I could not just use part of it now and the rest of it later. This is a great inconvenience. I know the person giving the certificate was not aware of this stipulation. Do not buy a gift certificate from this establishment.

Horrible, Ordered a fried chicken sandwich. When the food is brought out, I was offered gravy. I declined. The sandwich was dry. I asked for Lettuce, Tomato, and mayo. I was told they did not have these things. Only gravy. I asked for my money back and will never return.

Generally the food and service is good here; however, the location on Cantrell Road has consistently provided my family with very poor customer service. Servers with bad attitudes and managers who could care less. If you want to be treated with any respect, I would advise you to dine elsewhere. I certainly intend to do so. Generally, the food is quite good if you can get past the ill trained serviing staff. I was not so lucky on the last visit.

The original restuarant burned down a few years ago, and when it was rebuilt they had added BBQ to the menu. I was thrilled that they had done this and was hoping that it would be better than their catfish, which if you like small portions at a high price then you should enjoy. As one person wrote, I guess they have to charge such high prices to pay for the "new" place, but to be honest the portions are EXTREMELY small for what they charge. True, the place is very nice, but service is lacking and the waiters/waitresses are NOT very attentive. The BBQ is EXCELLANT but expensive..$11.00 PLUS tip for a sandwich,2 sides and a drink. Folks, THAT is expensive!

I ordered the 3-4 Catfish filets for lunch. When I got my meal I was amazed at the unbelievably small portions. Even though the menu said 3-4 filets they just didn't say the filets were 1/4 the size of a normal filet and even then I would have expected 4 filets not the low end of 3. The 3 pieces combined would not cover up half of their 3x5 comment card. No Kidding? The fish was hard and crunchy not much fish mostly batter. Oh and I can't not mention that I got 4 french fries with my meal. Everything is served on portioned plates, with 3 portions set up for the servings my catfish, french fries and hush puppies were in one partition the cole slaw and pickled peppers in the other two. I consider myself an expert on judging catfish and restauraunts. The restauraunt itself is beautiful and full of interesting fish tanks. It is obvious that they "spared no expense" on the furnishings. I guess they are trying to pay for their new place and are having some problems. Catfish City is a poor choice for catfish! They are lacking very much in the ability to offer a quality meal at any type of value. I payed $10 dollars for the meal and the amount of food I got was utterly ridiculous! I will never eat there again and they certainly will not cater any of my company events! Terrible...

I can't say anything redeeming about this place. I've spent less for a better meal at McDonalds!!!

Voted as Little Rock's best catfish and I can see no reason to disagree. The Family Dinner easily fed our party of 5 adults, even though we were warned it only fed 3. Sides were also excellent.
