Restaurant Description

Finally, an upscale wine bar / restaurant located in the heart of San Francisco that offers main course dishes that are prepared with only the freshest ingredients, they have no freezer or cans anywhere in the venue, and everything is organic and locally grown.

Dunya, is a new endeavor created by past Pat O'Sheas owner Rimon Zawaydeh. Located at 1609 Polk Street at Sacramento Street, Zawaydeh has taken advantage of his unique palate complemented by his worldly travels to offer a combination of food and wines served by the glass or by the bottle that brings what is described as "California meets the Mediterranean."

Dunya's international decor is the perfect setting to enjoy the dishes created by chef...and the wines personally selected by Zawaydeh. The extensive selection matches wines with entrees and main courses to offer a dining experience that is sure to make an impression on San Francisco's most experienced palates.

This is the most AMAZING restaurant. I went there and the mood was so romantic my boyfriend told me he loved me for the first time there. This was 4 years ago and I still can't forget the ambiance. Truly special.
