have been watching the piece on Gils Broiler on Texas Country Reporter for several months. My mouth waters as I watch. In two weeks I will be driving to San Marcos, Tx. and my soul goal is to stop and eat a burger and as many Manske Rolls as I can devour. Of course I will take enough of them to share with my family in Austin and possible stop there again on the way home to Corpus.

The oldest restaurant in San Marcos serves up the legendary gil-a-monster burger and the world famous Manske roll. The iced tea and fries are good too. The front booth offers a great view of the street parade. Casual San Martian atmosphere.
