This place had awesome food! and my waiter was really nice.
It has a great atmosphere and the food was great for the most part. The calamari was well prepared but the sauce was very gross. Fish specials are awesome and all the chicken dishes are off the chain. Go eat there while in san marcos argueably one of the best restaurants in san marcos
The oldest restaurant in San Marcos serves up the legendary gil-a-monster burger and the world famous Manske roll. The iced tea and fries are good too. The front booth offers a great view of the street parade. Casual San Martian atmosphere.
This is classic tex-mex. Herbert's is a San Marcos tradition. I've never seen so many owner's of other restaurants at one place. George Strait was a regular when he lived here. I don't know anyone who doesn't love this place. God grant me the pleasure of another 30 years of dining here.

The food is delicious and they have really great specials... all of the food is reasonably priced!!! We tried out this restaurant because of all the great reviews from friends.

This is one of the best restaurants I have ever been to. The food is excellent and the waitressses are the "hottest" in the state. Forget Hooters! I wish I could rate this restaurant 5 stars. A must if you are in San Marcos, Texas.
The Ultimate Gordo Burger is AWESOME!!!!!! Bring you appetite to this small restaurant where the more casual you are the better. The beer is ice cold and the burgers will not leave you any room for dessert. Live music on the weekends.
