I can't believe some of these negative reviews about this restaurant, especially from early 2010 and late 2009 when the restaurant wasn't even there yet?!?! Have been to Hog Wild BBQ now about 5 times now since reading the below review in May to form my own opinion on the place. After having lunch there on 3 separate occasions, along with taking out food for dinner on the other 2 occasions I couldn't disagree more with the above review. The BBQ was spectacular. The bar is small and quaint, but it's my opinion that the owners aren't there to compete with the BarBill or other area "bars" for their bar patrons, but focusing more on the exquisite BBQ food, while offering patrons with the chance for a good beer on tap or bottle. The pulled pork sandwich was fantastic, their macaroni and cheese is to die for and the best dish on their menu has got to be the HW Smoker!!! Absolutely fabulous! If you like Texas style rubbed BBQ, that also offers numerous BBQ sauces to go along with your meal (from their house original all the way up to some hot Cajun style sauces) than this is definitely the place to go to in the area. Along with this location, I hear they are also taking over kitchen operations at Nickel Creek Cafe (Borden/Clinton) and will undoubtedly blow the competition away in the Depew/Cheektowaga area with their cuisine. I would highly recommend anyone in either East Aurora or the West Seneca/Depew/Lancaster/Cheektowaga or anyone passing through town to visit one of these 2 locations to form your own opinion and realize that there is definitely a great new BBQ restaurant in or around your town that is worth the drive to savor!!

Food is delicious. Was greeted by the employees and the options are endless. Ribs were not what I expected (baby back are my fav) but they were still good.
BBQ pork was absolutely awesome.
After a few good visits, I tried catering. The catering tasted even better than the in-house stuff! I'd go again. And again. And again.

At first I was excited to see a new Barbeque place in E. Aurora. My first order was very good. The second time, not so much. We tried it a third time and it was ok. The food doesn't seem to be consistent. One thing that was consistent was the very unfriendly man at the counter....almost crabby. The third time we got take out, I made my husband go to get it. I did not want to feel like I was "bothering" this man.

Wow! I've never experienced bbq the way it was meant to be in this area til now. The selections are plentiful, the portions are acceptable and the meats are to die for. FINALLY! Real bbq with a smoke ring and flavor. Some bbq places serve dry and tasteless this is moist & yes the brisket is a bit greasy but than again it is brisket and its moist!!!! I'll be back again & again. THANK YOU HOG WILD BBQ - WE'VE BEEN WAITING FOR YOU.

I was very disappointed with everything about this place. My order was not correct; the owner/waiter was not very friendly and neither was his wife/helper. All the meat was greasy and very bland. The most mediocre bbq in the area, but very pricey. Don;t waste your time or money.

Went to their new location at 180 Main St in the plaza. Food was outstanding, service was excellent. Nice to have something different in the area than the same old McDonald's, Burger King and local bars with greasy wings. Upon arrival at the restaurant the smell of them cooking on location makes your mouth water. Well worth the trip. Look forward to visiting again soon!!!!!!!!!!!

I bought to gift certificates that I used to order take out ribs/chili for a party I was having at home. The food was fine. The chicken chili was great, ribs-ok. They are not babyback so not what I was used to. The service however is a totally different story. The person behind the counter never greeted me and went back and forth into the kitchen several times, while I stood there, until he finally asked if I needed something. I was literally astounded that I stood there at the counter for several minutes before he made any attempt to acknowledge me. Ok, I thought, maybe he's having a bad day. I placed my order and scheduled my pickup. Same exact treatment on pickup day. I will not ever go back. Hey Hog Wild...learn some service skills!

I would love to write a review on this restaurant except because of their hours I could not get there to eat. I recently bought a buy $25.00 and get $25.00 in food voucher. The only problem is lunch is served Monday-Friday between 10:00 and 1:00, so if you have a job forget it. So I tried to get catering; I called on a Monday for catering on Sat. or Sun. whatever was best for them. I was told they were already booked for the Sat. and aren't open on Sunday. Okay let's try during the week, no not that either, no pickups after 2:00. So unless you're on vacation, or don't work don't buy certificates. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
