During our recent trip to San Antonio we had the pleasure of dining at this restaurant. WE went there due to a $25 gift certificate I had obtained from restaurant.com via mycokerewards.com. The first night that we thought of going there, there was only one person in the whole place. This made me a little leary. The next night we decided to bite the bullet and give it a try. This time upon our arrival, the parking lot was full. Not quite sure what to expect, we went in. Upon entry we found that it had the appeal of a cross between Texas Roadhouse, Western Sizzlin, and Ground Patti. You have to go and place your order at the counter, pay and then you receive a number. When your order is ready they call your number and you go to the counter to retrieve your food. Among our party, we ordered: the sirloin steak, meatloaf, fried green beans, fried chicken platter, and the fried chicken sandwich.
The platters came out with WAY TOO MUCH food on them. However, everything thing was absolutely delicious. There is nothing negative that I can say about this restaurant. Either go hungry or order Pony size!!! NEver had I ever eaten nor heard of fried green beans, I am hear to tell you - a definite MUST TRY!!!!!!
I have been going to this location for years, and had great service. but on my last visit we went through the drive thru and paid and was told to pull around to the front , and waited for 20 min. when we were told it would only take 4 min. I went in
