Think Al's Diner. But there is an extra three feet behind the stools. The has browns are fried in butter ( they make their own) with chopped onions. The pancakes are the best I have eaten in the Twin Cities, huge and filling. The bacon is thick, the eggs done to a turn, and the coffee cup is always kept full. Plus, unlike Al's, they do have ice for the glass of water.
Smoking is allowed, but if you don't smoke, the ventilation is very good.
The prices are comparable to other small diner's, in other words, a bargain.
They also make burgers, sandwhiches, and have a noon special. Open until 2 o'clock, this is a great example of the classic diner.
