Since it opened in downtown Greenville on Main Street, Island Blend has been one of my favorite places to eat at. Unfortunately, I feel as if many people aren't aware that it even exists due to the lack of advertising or lack of being aware what restaurants are located downtown. It's very nice having Jamaican/Caribbean cuisine in Greenville and I really hope I get to continue patronizing Island Blend!

Don't let the location fool you into thinking it's an upscale snobby restaurant as some places downtown have the reputation as being (I certainly don't care to feel intimidated by a restaurant and neither do many others!). The food at Island Blend is affordable and delicious! One nice thing about their plates are the generous amount of food you receive (gotta love leftovers at midnight!). The cabbage and veggies, beans and plantains are all absolutely delicious and full of flavor (EVERYTIME!) and the jerk pork (my usual choice) is always tasty! I've never been let down and i've eaten there too many times to count. I've also tried the curried goat, and it was good, too!
The service is friendly and courteous and i've never had to wait long for my food to be cooked (no heatlamps or anything like that!). Although, I don't find parking to be an issue downtown, I do know some that seem to get annoyed with it and because so, avoid main street like the plague. If you are one of these types of people, getting take out is no problem...just have someone let you out on Main and they can cruise around the block while you run in and pick up the food!
All in all, if you haven't given Island Blend Jerk & BBQ Grill a try, do so! Try something different and support a friendly independently dining establishment! They deserve your business!

Mike and Jeff's has the best pulled pork in Greenville, hands down.

Great food with hometown feel.

This is the best BBQ in the Greenville area. True wood-smoked, a variety of home-made sauces, and really nice people. Hard to find, and is a really small place...but worth the hunt.

Good food. Very courteous. We use Toms for catering numerous lunches. Does a great job and is always on-time
