We left in the middle of the meal because the owner was berating a black couple at the next table. Racism is an ugly sight to behold and the food lost all its appeal.

Cheery atmosphere, attentive and unobtrusive service. The food ( had grilled salmon) was excellent. Can't wait to go back.

Beautiful, beautiful, tasty food! The service was great, the ambiance was pleasant, the restaurant was clean, the server was pleasant and accommodating. You must go! You must try the gorgonzola fries!

Not sure where these bad reviews are coming from, this is hands-down the best restaurant with the best service there is! To the person doing business there, what are you thinking? The room holds around 60 people and there is always a line. You are the inconsiderate one trying to hold a business meeting at a place like this. Maybe do a little research before you take a client out, that would help instead of complaining that you cant sit at a table for two hours. Give me a break.

Awesome food. If you plan on lunch, get there before 11:30 or after 1:00. It is very popular at lunch. If you have to hold a meeting in a restaurant during the lunch rush, maybe you should invest in an office space.

I'm so glad to see the reviews here, particularly about the owner. I've eaten there twice: the first time the owner was very rude to me, the second time I lucked out and didn't see him. It's a shame because the food is excellent and I like the small, intimate atmosphere. But I don't care how good the food and ambiance are, I don't have to put up with rude treatment. He apparently hates his life or needs to see a shrink. Maybe the ownership has changed. If anyone knows about the current ownership, please post here so I can consider going back there, or not.

Today my husband and I stopped by for a simple hamburger and even though they are $9.00, they were simply gorgeous - truly elevated to an art form. From the first bite to the last, perfection. Worth every penny and worth every calorie. Eating here is like a warp speed trip to Manhattan. Thanks so much for bringing Lily's to Magnolia. And whoever said the neighborhood was slowly coming back must be from from somewhere else. Fairmount's been "back" for quite a while now, friend. LOL Don't miss this treasure.

Finally. Fort Worth now has a nice, small, friendly spot serving something other than "Country Club" (bland) fare and "cowboy" cuisine. I love being able to try something new on every visit-- but always make a point to recommend the ostrich egg app for newbies. If you're on a date you'll want to make a reservation -- but the intimate size makes finally getting a table on any night a special occasion. The service is good and the servers aim to please. Mr. Martin is a wonderful host. He is always friendly, engaging and happy to accommodate special requests. If you're looking for something special this is the place in FW.

The food is good but the owner kills that quickly. This place reminds me of the episode of the Sopranos where Tony tells chef and resteraunt owner Artie Bucco to shut up and stay in the kitchen.

Place is clean but the owner (vance) is mean. If you could get the food without the attitude it would be wonderful. This place reminds me of the episode of the Sopranos where Tony tells resteraunt owner and chef Artie Buco that people love your food but know one wants to here your mouth! So stay in the kitchen and shut up!!

Better read many reviews about this place. Just about every entry that Vance makes is some kind of verbal attack against a customer. He assumes that everyone will accept his type of dining as compared to other dining establishments. Fort Worth is too large of a city to deal with such a small place like this in an area of Fort Worth that was once condemned by the city and is now slowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwly trying to bring it back up. This is one dining experience that will not be tolerated much longer in the Magnolia medical district of Fort Worth. Strongly suggest that this place be avoided. Trust us!

The food was good - I won't deny it - but don't plan on having any sort of meeting over lunch if you go. We took a vendor of ours there for a lunch meeting and after the meal was done we continued our meeting with a review of some pricing docs and the owner of the restaurant - Vance - came over to us after 5 minutes and said "Please don't have a meeting over lunch at my restaurant. I only have 10 tables and people are waiting to eat. " We all thought he was joking at first but he was completely serious. I was so embarrassed that I brought a vendor here. Even though the food was good I won't ever go back and I certainly won't recommend this restaurant to anyone.

The Quaint, little, snugglin back table was the best seat in the house. (back door). It would be nice to smoke and drink at the same time while sitting inside...but now that it is cold, we will just stay inside w/Vance.
